Were you yelled at as a child?
Me not a lot, but I think the fear of being yelled at was the reason, I tried my best to never get in that space. As a mother of my own and as my sons are growing up, I am seeing more and more moments in time where "don't sweat the small stuff" makes sense. Why as adults do we expect for children to be perfect? When as an Adult perfection is unheard of, none of us are perfect. I couldn't imagine how awful life would be if that is all I did was try to be perfect. I do try to be my best however, I want to offer amazing customer service, and great products in my boutique, I try to be an amamzing mom and wife and do my best at my other said job, but perfection never. I want my sons to be strong proud young men, but I know they will fail, as toddlers allowing them to do things on their own with help and encouragment is showing them they will fail, but they will learn from it and be a better person and move on!
So kiddos go ahead and spill that milk, make that mess in the house; BUT tell momma you will clean/pick it up and tell her you love her.
Happy spilling
